Handpainted boards

Interesting article about the “handpainted boards” phenomen. This is why sites like deckrecycle have come up. Their intention is different from some artists intention (see video above):

This happens either by passing them along to artists or by forming what we call Skate Hearts…The Skate Heart is more to be seen as a symbol than an ordinary commercial product. The money made by selling it is contributing a tiny part to put up new social/creative/skate projects. Every single Skate Heart is one of a kind. Individual and unique like its history.”
