Abandoned shopping carts by Morgan Hagar

From ‘Polar Inertia’ Journal:
Everyday throughout Los Angeles thousands of shopping carts are ditched in neighborhoods and dumped in back alley’s, used and abandoned. Serving as a key element in our commerce driven society, they act as a modern day pack-mules carrying goods down the aisles of stores and across large parking lots to waiting cars. For those shoppers without transport, these carts often make the slow journey home only to be cast aside after reaching their driver’s destination.

Urban phenomena photography by Michael Wolf

Ok, it may be easy to take a picture of Asian architecture and how the creative inhabitants are dealing with space and everyday’s life – these ingredients alone are striking enough for the Western European eye. However, I like Michael Wolf’s attention to urban sociology. If you’re into this stuff, make sure to check weburbanist.com. You probably know this hilarious clip?
